Company
Renova Life Inc. (RLI) recognizes the tremendous business opportunities in the agricultural, biomedical and pharmaceutical societies for animal biotechnologies, including transgenic animal production, zinc finger nuclease (ZFN), embryonic stem cell (ES), induced pluripotent cell (iPS), specific cell type differentiation from ESC and iPS, in vitro fertilization, and embryo cryopreservation.

The Company's mission is to develop novel animal reproductive biotechnologies, focused on bovine, equine and rabbit models, and to provide quality animal embryos, embryonic stem cell related products and services to the agricultural, pharmaceutical industry as well as animal science and biomedical research community.

We also specialize in transgenic rabbit production via conventional DNA or RNA microinjection method. We are also engaged in studies of developing bioreactor systems (i.e. produce human recombinant protein through rabbit mammary glands) and novel disease models (e.g. for CVD, diabetes, retinal degeneration, viral infection, cancer and HIV studies). We are proud to consistently achieve over 20% transgenic live kits rate, twice as much as the industry average. We also work with our customers to explore emerging transgenic technologies, including somatic cell nuclear transfer, zinc finger nuclease and embryonic stem cells in non-murine species. We also provide other animal embryo related products and services. With the support from NIH SBIR, we have successfully derived several rabbit ES lines, and derivatively differentiated specific cell types from ES cells. These ES cells and specifically differentiated cell types can be used for drug screening and toxic testing in the pharmaceutical companies.
The Company is a member of the Technology Advancement Program at the University of Maryland, College Park (http://www.tap.umd.edu).
